KER s.r.l. produces and markets all its products through the 'Farmacia SS. Annunziata dal 1561 Firenze Italy' and the ERBORISTERIA KER of Florence. At the same time, KER creates quality cosmetics for supplying many Italian and foreign companies specialized in luxury articles. The ancient Greek word ker is given different connotations by Homer: he sometimes uses it as a contraction of kear (heart. soul), sometimes as standing for seat of courage and intellect sometimes in the sense of fate or destiny.
This small word embraces many meanings, and like our company stands for many things.
KER was born in Florence in 1921 as the 'Brama Bracci' perfume works: it achieved its maximum commercial expansion in the 1950s, thanks above all to the invention of 'Spigo Toscano', a unique scent that is still sold in Italy and abroad.
In 1991 the essences and perfume department was flanked by a modern and efficient laboratory for the production of high-quality cosmetics. KER is family-owned. Its proprietors, two pharmacists and two business managers, also own the ancient 'Farmacia SS. Annunziata dal 1561 Firenze Italy' of Florence, an old-style pharmacy that is well known for it's cosmetics compounded according to ancient formulas. KER has united the centuries-long experience of the pharmacy with up-to-date, reliable technology to create a perfect union assuring efficacy and quality in our products.
