Shop in Florence, specialized in the sale of glances at them antichi, modern and glances at them alone and corrected to you. Antichi models, in gold, Titanium, Metal/Acetate, Wood.
The Antica Occhialeria began operating in Florence in 1981 on the old Via San Gallo, inside a former 19th-century hat shop. The old furnishings were preserved and adjusted to the new business, which deals primarily in modern and antique optics.
Thanks to the expertise of its founders – opticians since 1956 – and the commitment of its staff, the Antica Occhialeria has gradually grown over the recent years. Two new sales areas were added to the old shop in 2009 and house the traditional optics shop as well as the brand wholesale store.
Original vintage and old-fashioned-style eyewear are sold in the old shop, in an atmosphere of the bygone days. Lastly, the company workshop can reproduce lenses for both sunglasses and eyeglasses having the same shape as those made during the previous century. Needless to say, this sector is mainly devoted to highly-demanding collectors and to vintage enthusiasts.
Although situated in the boulevard area, the workshop and the shop are rather far from the city center and from the tourist route. However, this position has not deterred those who wish to purchase an absolutely uncommon product.
