Excursion to Pisa
Ciao! I am going to Florence next week and also want to go to Pisa and then to Cala Violina Beach. I am going to use public transport. I have done a lot of research but can you please help me find a serious site to book my ticket for the trains? Do you recommend to book train tickets online or is it better to buy my ticket there at the station? Here is my plan: Date: 05/08/2014 Florence to Pisa stay about 1,5 hours there and then go to Cala Violina. In the late afternoon back from Cala Violina to Florence. Thank you very much in advance for your help and support! Sincerely, Julia.
Book online train tickets
Dear Julia,
you can book train tickets directly from the official website www.trenitalia.com. Beware though that Cala Violina is not close to Pisa. The beach of Cala Violina is located between Follonica and Punta Ala and then the nearest station is Follonica (Grosseto). Reach Grosseto from Florence takes about 2 hours by car... In the summer there is also a bus that leaves from the station of Follonica and makes a stop at about 2.5 km from Cala Violina.
