Pagliazza museum Florence
Piazza Sant'Elisabetta, 3, 50122 Firenze
The Pagliazza museum is located in the Pagliazza tower of the same name, located in Piazza Sant'Elisabetta in the center of Florence. The museum houses archaeological finds dating back mainly to the years between the 16th and 16th centuries, but also pottery dating back to Roman times.
The finds are kept in various showcases, each of which represents a historical period, containing majolica, shards and ceramics. The ceramics dating back to the Renaissance and subsequent periods is divided into three main categories: majolica, engobed and graphite. Among the most beautiful objects we can mention large compendium-style plates decorated with animals, views of countries or human figures.
The museum can be visited by appointment and it is advisable to call first.
